Monopentaerythritol is an odorless organic compound that is a white crystalline or light yellow crystalline powder.It is soluble in water,slightly soluble in alcohol dissolvable in benzene,ether and petroleum ether.
Monepentaerythritol is mainly used in coating industry and can be used to make alkyd resin coatings,which can improbe the hardness,gloss and durability of coating films.
